A great visit to Norfolk and a lovely stay. Positive: Great location in beautiful Holt, clean and cosy. The welcome basket was a lovely addition. Negative: It was all great.

Lovely stay in North Norfolk and Holt Positive: simple key box, easy to open and get the keys. Very central location, as my wife is disabled there was excellent on street parking for us for the whole stay. There was two large carparks withing easy reach as well, when we couldnt park outside. Negative: Nothing comes to mind

Cute cottage but a few issues Positive: Good location, nice living room and kitchen, well equipped with some nice extras, nice bathrooms and good shower. Negative: We were given only a ‘door code’, no other check-in instructions. We stood by the front door, baffled, for a few minutes trying to get hold of the owners, who weren’t picking up. Got a message through and it turned out the code is for a key safe on the rear wall of the cottage, which is accessed via a different street because it’s a terrace. On entering, the house had a bad smell which the owners think is probably the saniflo toilet. The banisters and stair rails were all sticky, the owners think that’s uncured paint. We found a chocolate-covered spoon on the kitchen counter, and my mother found a cotton bud on her bedside table and a plaster on the carpet. The bunk bed mattress is extremely uncomfortable, the springs dig into your back and sides. The wifi was too slow to allow streaming- we tried a film but had to give up after 10 mins as it kept buffering every 30 seconds.

Lion Cottage Review Positive: Excellent location in centre of town. Well equipped for 6 people. Negative: Steep staircases. Quality of sofa bed was poor
